Only Love is Real....the story of soulmates reunited

Brian Weiss

HAVE YOU LOVED -- AND LOST -- SOMEONE ACROSS TIME?

In Brian Weiss's bestseller Many Lives, Many Masters, nearly one and a half million readers met Catherine. In a hypnotic trance, Dr. Weiss's young patient summoned memories of many past lifetimes, demonstrated an astonishing ability to transmit transcendental messages, and turned the life of a respectable psychiatrist upside down.

CAN YOU FIND YOUR SOULMATE AGAIN?

Now Dr. Weiss takes his research one breathtaking step further. He portrays two strangers, Elizabeth and Pedro, who are unaware that they have been lovers throughout the long centuries -- until fate brings them together again. He shows how each and every one of us has a soulmate whom we have loved in past incarnations and who waits to reunite with us now. And he opens up entirely new worlds for all of us everywhere, based on a single, powerful truth..

There are books that tell a story. We read them, enjoy them and put them away, forgotten, in some shelf of the mind. But, once in a lifetime there comes a book that refuses to be forgotten, that stirs our mind and changes our thoughts forever. Only Love is Real by Dr. Brian Weiss is one of those.

Only Love is Real, is a story of soulmates reuniting with each other across lifetimes, yes you read it right, not across years, but lifetimes. It is based on real life accounts, recorded by Dr. Weiss as a part of his psychiatric therapy sessions.

Elizabeth is an extremely attractive young woman who is unable to overcome the loss of her mother. Depressed and troubled she seeks help from Dr. Weiss, a Psychiatrist. Pedro, is a young handsome man who is in a state of mental upheaval, his relationships do not last and he is also upset by his brother's death, whom he loved dearly. He too decides to visit Dr. Weiss. Dr. Weiss uses a technique called Regressive Therapy to resolve the problems of both. In this therapy he uses hypnosis to lead his patients into revisiting their previous lives. This apparently helps them to see their pain and troubles in the right perspective and results in catharsis. However, during his separate sessions with Elizabeth and Pedro, he realizes that both share common memories of their past lives, though neither is aware of each other. This leads to an exciting revelation that Dr. Weiss is too rational to accept at first. He can't believe that two souls have traveled across centuries to be with each other, but as he starts to accept the remarkable co-incidence, destiny is already at work to finalize the cosmic match.

This is an amazing book, not merely for the reason of love transcending time and mortal boundaries, but for what it has to say about life, death and reincarnation. Souls keep moving from body to body and death does not mean the end but it is only another chance at a new life. The ones we love in this life too move with us in other lives, maybe in different roles but souls recognize each other. This is what Dr. Brian Weiss claims in this book and through that provides a very different perspective on death and loss of loved ones, two facts of life that we all dread the most.

Arguably, the book is slow and does not stick to the central story of the two patients. It often wanders and moves towards philosophy and teachings but it is in this philosophy that one finds clarity and thought. It is remarkably close to the Geeta Updesh by Shri Krishna, but coming from a Doctor's pen, it makes even more sense.

Go for it!!
